About Me

My path to digital design has been unconventional.

Most of my life has been centered around sports and from an early age I was sure I wanted to be a sports agent or coach. Almost all of my Bachelor's and Master's coursework at Florida State University was dedicated to those ends. But life likes to throw you curveballs.

After college, a chance meeting with a friend turned into an internship and then full-time business development job at a small company called First Choice Repair. During my time there, I took on additional roles as the "creative" of the company to fill a void that desperately needed filling. I helped lead initiatives to rebrand the company and update marketing materials across almost every medium including a full re-work of the company website. This is where I fell in love with creative design and poured myself into learning as much as possible through online resources, getting to use what I learned in real-life business applications.

Fast-forward a bit and I was eventually led to a Web Designer position at Web.com where I've had the opportunity to hone my skills building websites for small businesses. To date, I've built over 1,000 websites for Web.com clients. I have also had the opportunity to advise an internal technology development team on the UX/UI design of a proprietary new website builder as well as a new enterprise CRM being implemented company-wide.

I've also done freelance work helping people build their web presence from conception to launch. These projects have been invaluable to my personal development as a designer. You can learn more about them in my portfolio.
